Cookies
A "cookie"
is an element of data that a Website can send to your
browser, which may then be stored on your system.
Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally
identifiable information while on our site. Once the
user closes the browser, the cookie simply terminates.
For instance, by setting a cookie from our site, the
user would not have to log in a password more than
once, thereby saving time while on our site. If users
reject the cookie, they may still use our site. Cookies
also enable us to track and target the interests of
our users as they visit different sections of the
site.
Most browsers are
set to accept cookies. Some Web browsers permit you
to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are
being sent. If you do so, please note that some parts
of the services offered by the Institute, such as
message boards, may not function properly.
An IP address is
a number that is assigned to your computer when you
are on the Internet. When you request pages from our
Website, our servers log your IP address. The Institute
employs IP addresses to analyze trends, administer
the site, track user movements, and gather broad information
for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to
personally identifiable information. The Institute
servers automatically log certain information that
the Institute uses for statistical analysis of website
traffic. The information is stored as log files on
the Seatofthesoul.com server. The log files are regularly
collected and analyzed by software to produce visitor
trend reports. We use such information to administer
our Website and, in the aggregate, to understand which
areas of our Website are favorites of our users, which
areas need improvement, and what technologies are
being used so that we may continually improve our
Website.
The information
that is collected includes:
- User's IP address
- User's city
- User's state
- Length of time user stayed
on Seatofthesoul.com
- Where user came into the site
- Where user left the site
- Referring site that sent user
to Seatofthesoul.com
- Site the user went to when
leaving Seatofthesoul.com
- Type of browser user is using
- Search terms you used on Seatofthesoul.com
This information
is used to determine:
-
Traffic patterns
-
Average visitor
session length
-
Number of
visitors to certain areas of the site
-
Banner ad
click-through
-
Tracking
results of promotional campaigns
-
Other user
trends
Server logs do
not contain personally identifiable information on
individual users, such as names, addresses, email
address, occupation, etc. This type of data will only
be collected in forms, product sales, or event registrations
on Seatofthesoul.com.
Non-personally
identifiable information might include the type of
computer, technical information about your means of
connection to our Website, such as the operating systems
and the Internet service providers utilized, and other
similar information.
We may share this
aggregate statistical information with our partners
and other third parties, but we will not share any
individual names, email addresses, personal navigational,
or other personal information.
The Institute
makes every precaution to protect user information.
Only employees who require the information to perform
a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable
information. The servers used to store personally
identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
If you have any questions about the security at the
Seatofthesoul.com website, you may contact us at info@Seatofthesoul.com.
The Institute uses
online forms on Seatofthesoul.com
to collect specific information for product sales
and other data collection uses. In cases where private
information is collected, such as mailing addresses,
phone numbers, work location, credit card numbers,
etc., all forms are secured through Secure Socket
Layers (SSL) encryption, the most widely
accepted and instituted form of data encryption. Of
course no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed
to be 100% secure, therefore the user provides the
Institute with information at his or her own risk.
In addition to
Secure Socket Layer encryption during transmission,
the Institute takes these additional precautions with
user information:
All web servers
are protected by state-of-the-art, managed firewalls.
Credit card numbers are encrypted down to the database
field level.
The Institute cannot
ensure that third-party websites linked from Seatofthesoul.com
will provide equivalent security. Users should check
with the privacy policies of those websites before
submitting any personally identifiable information.
The Institute makes
reasonable effort to ensure that all of the transactions
that occur on its Website are secure. All credit card
numbers submitted to our Website are encrypted with
128-bit Secure Socket Layer ("SSL") technology,
which is the industry standard for information security.
Any personal information that you submit as part of
a financial transaction is also encrypted with SSL
technology. The Institute reveals only the
last four digits of the user's credit card number
when confirming an order. Of course, Seatofthesoul.com
transmits the entire credit card number to the appropriate
credit card company during order processing. It is
important for the user to protect against unauthorized
access to his or her password and to his or her computer.
Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer,
and do not send credit card numbers or other financial
or proprietary information via email.
Your piece of mind
and security is very important to us. If you do not
feel comfortable submitting your personal information
online, you can submit such information by calling
(541) 482-1515.
The Institute uses
an outside credit card processing company to bill
users for goods and services. These companies do not
retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable
information for any secondary purposes. The Institute
partners with other parties to provide specific services
such as a secured site for financial transactions.
When the user signs up for these services, the Institute
will share names, or contact and other information,
that is necessary for the third party to provide these
services—with the permission of the user, which
is implied by user's online submission of such information.
These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable
information except for the purpose of providing these
services.
Except as set forth
in this Privacy Policy or as specifically agreed to
by you, the Institute and the Institute will
not disclose any personal information it gathers from
you on Seatofthesoul.com. We may release personal
information to third parties: (1) to comply with valid
legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search
warrant, subpoena or court order; (2) in special cases,
such as a physical threat to you or others; or (3)
to enforce this Agreement. In the event that we are
legally compelled to disclose your personally identifiable
information to a third party, we will notify you unless
doing so would violate the law or court order.
The Institute may
provide to third parties non-personal information
that does not allow you to be identified or contacted
and that is combined with the non-personal information
of other users.
The Institute’s
website is a general audience website and does not
knowingly market to or collect personally identifiable
information from children under the age of 18 years
old. We understand that young people need special
safeguards and privacy protection. We realize that
they may not understand all the provisions of our
policy or be able to make thoughtful decisions about
the choices that are made available to our adult users.
We strongly urge all parents to participate in their
children's exploration of the Internet and any online
services, and to teach their children about protecting
their personal information while online.
We may, at our
discretion, require users under 18 to obtain the consent
of a parent or guardian to view certain content, and
we may limit access to certain content to users above
a specified age. You agree to abide by any such restrictions,
and not to help anyone avoid these restrictions.
If you would like
to review any personal information we have retained
about you in our database, please send us an email
request for this information at info@Seatofthesoul.com. To help us address
your request, please specify which information you
wish to review.
Once you have reviewed
this information, at your request we will correct
personal information about you that you state is erroneous.
To request such a correction, please send an email
to info@Seatofthesoul.com. You should be
aware, however, that it is not always possible to
completely remove or modify information in our databases
and servers, although we will always make reasonable
efforts to do so upon your request.
If at any time
you would like to stop receiving information from
Seatofthesoul.com or the Institute or opt-out
of a particular feature, you can let us know by selecting
the "unsubscribe" link on any emails we send you,
which will unsubscribe you automatically, or by sending

To help us address your request, please specify the

be aware, however, that it is not always possible
to completely remove or modify information in our
databases and servers, although we will always make
reasonable efforts to do so upon your request.
If users are located
outside of the United
States, please note that any
personally identifiable information that they provide
will be transferred to the United
States. By submitting
personally identifying information to the Institute,
user consents to this transfer.
From time to time,
the Institute performs updates to its system. The
Institute will do its best to inform registered site
users of such updates. Users are not able to unsubscribe
from service announcements, which contain important
information about the service. The Institute communicates
with the user to provide such information via email.
By using Seatofthesoul.com,
you signify your acceptance of our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to this policy, please do not
use our Website. Your continued use of our Website
following the posting of changes to these terms will
mean that you accept those changes.
